Attend a public meeting on August 18 and provide feedback.
The City of Austin Development Services Department (DSD) is seeking community input on the proposed changes to the demolition permit process. We encourage the community to attend a public meeting or provide input online. This feedback will help finalize any changes to the staff recommendation for consideration by the City Council.

Background Information:
In August 2017, the Office of the City Auditor released a report on Demolition Permits that highlighted areas of concern for the current demolition permit process. City Council followed up in December 2017 with Resolution No. 20171214-066 requesting Development Services Department staff to seek public input and propose a revised process to ensure that appropriate reviews and safety measures take place before demolition activities, and adequate notification is given to interested parties.
