The City of Austin Economic Development Department’s Music & Entertainment Division will host a Musician Compensation Sector Summit from 2 - 4 p.m. on Monday June 18 at Austin City Hall, 301 W 2nd Street.
City staff will present information on programs specific to generating revenue for musicians including the Street Performance Pilot Program, Dipjar, Music on Hold, The Daybird Music Series, and the forthcoming ATX Tour Aid Initiative.
The ATX Music Sector Summits promote resource awareness and industry-wide collaboration. Held four times per year, the summits help to maintain better communication between the City and various industry stakeholders. These events work as a platform for musicians, music industry professionals, and venue owners to voice their concerns, learn about new City program updates and network.
