View the City Code, Land Development Code, and other development-related resources.

Building Plan Review

Reviews Residential Building and Commercial Building plans for compliance with the Land Development Code before building permits can be issued.

Building Permits

Issues building  and trade (electrical, mechanical, irrigation and plumbing), and registers licensed contractors.

Building Inspections

Performs inspections on new construction, remodels, additions, and trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing) to ensure compliance with applicable building codes.

Commercial Site and Subdivision Inspections

Performs inspections of site work for commercial development in the right-of-way before construction begins.

Community Tree Preservation

Administers the City's Tree Ordinances, and performs tree reviews, permitting and inspection services, and implements the Urban Forest Master Plan.

Electronic Plan (ePlan) Review

ePlan Review is an electronic plan and document management system that provides a convenient central hub for development project groups (applicants and City reviewers) to communicate and complete the entire plan review process online, from the initial application stage to final approved plan sets.

Environmental Inspections

Performs inspections of permitted site plans for placement and maintenance of erosion controls, installation of water quality and drainage infrastructure, and site restoration.  Responds to complaints of possible environmental violations relating to active construction, and initiates enforcement for noncompliant sites.

Schedule a Building Inspection

The Building Inspection Division (BID) performs construction related inspections for residential and commercial buildings within the City limits, and electrical and plumbing services in the extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
